How Affiliate Networks Work

The idea is simple, if you have a lot of time on your hand and you don't really put a value on your time then you can create 1000 websites that are easy to make. Then if each website earns one dollar a day, then you make fulfill your wildest dreams but what I realized today after an offer to join one, that it is just not worth it.

It is much easier to answer 10 questions a day for kgb_ or make 1 really good website about something you are passionate about and then see how far you can push it.

Just some food for thought.

Not sure I understand your description of affiliate networks. Two popular affiliate networks are Commission Junction and Clickbank. This is how it works (a very simplified example): A merchant has something to sell. Say, an online medical supply store. They want to increase their sales so they join an affiliate network like Commission Junction. There, they list the terms of their affiliate program. Affiliates join the program, and advertise the merchant's website or particular products. So, for example, if I have a niche website dedicated to helping disabled people, I might put an ad on my website for the merchant's wheelchairs. (Another popular advertising strategy is PPC (Pay-Per-Click)- like putting a "sponsored" ad on Google search results.)Then, when someone clicks on the Affiliate's link, and buys from the merchant, the affiliate gets a commission. Definitely no need for making 1000 websites. As a matter of fact, you don't even need 1 website to be successful with affiliate marketing. But, if you do have a website and you're only making $1/day from your affiliate campaign then you should definitely do a little more research. There are a LOT of different strategies for making money with affiliate programs. I thought I had heard just about all of them. Then I ran across a free ebook that completely blew my mind with the most freakin' genius idea I've seen yet. You can get it here if you're interested in passive income (it's free, and no opt-in required): http://bit.ly/DZXYS
